Welcome to Cat House Productions
First off, let me explain the name of the URL. I’m sure you’re wondering, ‘Gee, why isn’t the official website of a production company named after the production company itself?’. Well, it’s pretty simple actually. Cat House Productions first project back in 2002 was a skateboarding documentary named ‘Bum Jum’. It was a short-lived phenomenon that gathered a cult following. To keep things simple, the website was named after the series, even though most of the site wasn’t based on it. So, to help stick with the simpleness of the original, we’ve kept the URL the same for this site.
And now to the good stuff.
Welcome to the official Cat House Productions website! We were formed back in 2002 by the founders Nikolas Mason and Tyson Moffitt, who continue to control most of the shots now. More of our history can be found on the side bar to the right of this post, or in this video here.
On this site you’ll find news about our future plans, current projects, along with all kinds of videos, such as the projects themselves, making ofs, bloopers, and more. Along with that, we’ll most likely feature several contests and other community projects.
To get things started, we won’t talk much about the founders, you can find out more about them from the links above, but instead we’re going to list a few of our current projects we’re working on.
- Limit5News - The semi-real, mostly fiction news broadcast will air weekly (we hope) at the official site, and also be reblogged here. The show features Tyson Moffitt and Kyle Olson as the investigatory reporters.
- Wichita Destruction Tour - Based off of our original Sedgwick Destruction Tour, the WDT will be a massive scavenger hunt. Two teams will spend fifteen hours trying to complete as many goals as they can before time runs out. The team with the most points at the end wins. The first one was a major success, and we have high hopes for the second.
As always, there is much more we have planned, but those are the only two we feel at liberty to talk about at the time. You can find our forums here, where you can discuss our upcoming projects, or just anything you want. Joining is free, and we highly recommend it.
Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to check back frequently for more posts, including videos!
